No. It is an accommodation club designed to make nature-based holidays in Southern Africa affordable to South Africans, not just our Dollar carrying overseas guests. You are simply purchasing holidays upfront at ridiculous discounts for the next 5 years, as well as having exclusive access to further discounts via Wild Discounts (11%) and Lastminute Escapes (49%). You do not become a part sectional title owner, you do not get pressured to buy, you do not get promised TV’s that don’t exist or given useless diamond dust - there are no sales traps.
The concept in terms of delivery however is similar in that one of the benefits is comparable to the Time Share points system. Once you have become a member, you can choose any destination at any time for the next five years. We just offer a lot more, are simpler, easier, have no hidden costs and obviously are a lot more affordable. We do have a small annual admin fee that covers our administration and part payment for some of the services. This however is fixed for the entire 5 years – there is no escalation. Levies from conventional timeshare schemes have been know to escalate 35% per annum. We have no hidden variable costs and/or costs over and above your purchase price, where as in a Timeshare scheme there are, such as LEVIES, CLUB FEES, EXCHANGE CHARGES etc. The cost of owning TimeShare has become astronomical and fraught with negative experiences.
With Wild Escapes club, after 5 years you walk away, having hopefully had the time of your life in some of the most spectacular and pristine nature environments Southern Africa has to offer. Our accommodation is carefully selected using the Tourism Grading Councils 3 and 4 Star Standard as a guide. You will be at some lodges that will have 5 Star standards, but are self-catering so cannot qualify. |

Occupancy Solutions and the owners of the destinations, where necessary, have invested money in each unit allocated to the club for internal refurbishment, thereby ensuring a minimum 3 Star grading standard. As part of the annual admin fee, we ensure that specialised staff are employed to keep in close contact with the destinations to certify that these standards are maintained. All the accommodation that Wild Escapes Club has advanced purchased, is guaranteed to be clean, well maintained, have a minimum 3 Star standard and be serviced. |
